WWE ECW 192

February 9, 2010 – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Tiffany holds a locker room meeting. She tells the roster that they’ll all be free agents once ECW ends after next week. She reveals that the time slot will go to a program called NXT. She wants everyone to look at the next two weeks as a way to impress people on their way out.

Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust def. Trent Barreta & Caylen Croft {Number One Contender Match}
This had a nice energy and a really strong finish. After a very rapid series of events, Tatsu caught Croft with the Saikyou High Kick for the win at 8:52 (shown) **¾

Ezekiel Jackson def. Perry Wallace
Whoops, they reheated Jackson as the brand was ending. He won in 1:20 with the uranage. After the match, William Regal calls his ejection from ringside at the Royal Rumble a travesty. He wants Jackson to get a rematch on the final episode of ECW. He doesn’t mention how pointless that is. Christian later accepts, but he wants an Extreme Rules Match. N/A

Shelton Benjamin def. Vance Archer {No Disqualification No Countout Match}
Benjamin cuts a promo before the match about what ECW has wound up meaning to him, and how impressed he is with the young guys backstage. I didn’t expect a sentimental message from him. Benjamin got busted open hardway, and they unfortunately couldn’t finish sealing it during the break. Between that and the fact that they virtually didn’t utilize the stipulation at all, this was a waste of time. At least I never have to watch an Archer match again. Benjamin hit Paydirt at 8:34 for the win. *¾
