NXT 63

May 3, 2011 – Orlando, Florida

Titus O’Neil joins William Regal and Todd Grisham on commentary for the evening.

Chavo Guerrero def. Darren Young
Hornswoggle is the guest referee. He makes Young take off one of his boots because he says it’s an illegal boot. Okay then. And then holy shit this was boring. It went on for a lifetime and Young controlled the whole thing with chinlocks and stomps. It picked up a little bit whet Guerrero took control at the end and Hornswoggle bit Young’s butt, but that was one-tenth of the match. *¾

Lucky Cannon def. Conor O’Brian
O’Brian and Vladimir Kozlov have been bonding by breaking wooden boards with their heads. This was another dull drag that ended when Tyson Kidd grabbed O’Brian’s leg, giving Cannon the win. *

Last night, Kharma came out on Raw and laid out Maryse, so she’s not on NXT tonight. Byron Saxton apologizes to Tatsu for attacking him last week and asks how Maryse is. Tatsu is still more concerned with Maryse than Saxton, so Saxton more or less dumps him.

William Regal def. JTG
This was supposed to be Regal vs. Novak, but JTG flips out when Regal rips on him and he takes his place in the match. Matt Striker replaces Regal on commentary. Why not just have O’Neil stay out there? This was all stalling and brawling until Novak interfered and got Regal the win by disqualification. ¾*

The show ends with a recap from Raw. Isn’t there an elimination next week? Weird that there were no challenges this week.
