NXT 66

May 24, 2011 – Spokane, Washington

Lucky Cannon & Tyson Kidd def. Byron Saxton & Yoshi Tatsu
Before the match, Saxton tried to emancipate himself from Tatsu and turn heel, but Maryse came out and said he doesn’t get to make the decision. Then she set up this match. Saxton wouldn’t cooperate with Tatsu, which was for the best because on the back of Tatsu’s fire this was the best match on this show in quite a while. Then Saxton tagged himself in and got caught with a Sharpshooter. Tatsu knocks Saxton out after the match with a high kick. **¼

Conor O’Brian def. JTG
This was like every O’Brian match; he gets his ass handed to him for a while and then lucks into the win. That’s no way to get someone over. JTG attacks him after the match. Vladimir Kozlov makes the save. *

Titus O’Neil def. Darren Young {No Disqualification Match}
This match was actually alright, with O’Neil showing a lot of energy and Young & Guerrero being real dicks. The backstage stuff wherein Hornswoggle was scared, but manned up after seeing Guerrero getting involved was cute. The finish was really overbooked, but the crowd loved it and it made me smile. You’d think this would be the final match between the two, but you’d be wrong. There must be a seventh match! Luckily we do get several weeks off before they lock back up with each other. **¾
